If designer brands are your thing the Clarks Village is a must visit location. Built in 1993 it features more than 90 designer outlets. Situated in picturesque gardens with partly covered walkways as you browse around the shops it’s an idyllic setting, perfect for spending some leisure time. There are also plenty of cafes and restaurants making it a popular and well liked destination for shoppers. You’ll find every type of shop here from fashion and beauty through to sports and the outdoors. There’s something for everyone.

A little further away in Shepton Mallet has another outlet at Kilver Court where you’ll find brands such as LK Bennett, Joseph and Bamford, Mulberry, The Great House for your home and so many more.

Farmers Markets:
In Taunton you will find a farmers market which is held every Thursday, selling all the local produce that you can think of. Everyone loves a farmers market and you’ll be able to soak up the atmosphere and even sample some of Somerset’s finest cheese and cider.

If you want to venture a little further afield there’s the White Row Farm Shop located in Beckington which is an advocate for local producers. Here you’ll also find a restaurant, café, fishmonger, florist, park, fish and chip shop and gift shop. As you explore the area you may even be able to find a unique, hand made piece for yourself or your home from a local creative or tradesperson.

Specialist Stores:
If new age products are a favourite of yours then a trip to Glastonbury is a must. You’ll find all kinds of wonderful products including crystals, books, charms, clothing and even explore some of the alternative therapies that are offered.

The village of Dunster is also great for finding a collection of unique independent stores where you can find a unique and memorable gift or something unusual made just for you.
